Gabriel was born in Korea and moved to America at nine years old. His father opened a restaurant in Colorado with a mix of diner and Korean-Chinese influence. Gabe and his brother helped at the restaurant from cooking, serving, dishwashing, staying up late to clean and then going to school the next morning. There were nights where he would take friends to the restaurant after hours and cook up meals for them; this is where his passion was born and where his meals bring camaraderie. For him, cooking was fulfilling because of the joy and creativity of bringing ingredients together for others to enjoy. Gabe sought culinary school; his father forbid it, so he took the traditional route of university and a job to which he was successful at, but something was still missing. That dream was still there, so even years later he pursued culinary options. Gabe has worked with TAG restaurant group, opened his own restaurant, hosted numerous private chef and catering events. Years of experimenting with recipes and drawing inspiration from diverse culinary backgrounds, he has refined his abilities and is always exploring new flavors. This is a story about it never being too late to follow your dreams and passion, and we want to bring that passion to you.
